I am a Generalist Teacher and have been part of the Don Valley Campus since it opened at the beginning of 2021. I studied a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Outdoor Recreation also completing an Honours Thesis in Outdoor Education and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary). My teaching journey has seen me work in several different public, private and independent schools. The most notable and formative of which was the 4 years we spent living and working at a remote Indigenous boarding school on the Tiwi Islands.

My wife and I returned to the Yarra Valley (our home for 30 years) to be closer to our family as we welcomed our first child into the world.

I value developing positive relationships with students and providing a welcoming environment where they feel comfortable living in a new community where they can challenge themselves to learn and experience so many new things. I am passionate about supporting emerging adults to be their best self, to celebrate their strengths and build their self-belief through the challenges both mentally and physically in the outdoors.

If I am not at work, you will find me playing and coaching football for the local team, spending time with family and friends, and add in as much travel as our busy schedule can allow.
